Yellow Fields

Took a walk close to home today. This is what it looks like in the fields all over Skåne (Scania) right now.

I took a lot of pictures, here are 5 of them. It was really windy so I was having a lot of problems getting anything Sharp.
I know what these plants are called in English, but I´m not going to write it. They are used to make Canola Oil (I think it´s called in English).

  1. Brassica rapa oleifera is in full bloom here too. You’re right, they don’t smell – they stink 😉 The hills in the third one, are these burial mounds? I know you can find a lot of them where you live.

  2. I think I would enjoy walking down that dirt road in the first photo. Do the flowers have enough fragrance that you can smell them as you walk by?

  3. Beautiful photos! I didn’t know that’s what that plant looks like (I don’t care much for it’s name, either).

      • In case you haven’t figured it out yet, English never makes sense! Lol I’m so glad I was born into an English-speaking family, because I can’t imagine how horrible it would be to attempt to learn English as a second language! Congratulations to those of you who have!
