I don´t know why images get all fuzzy and stretched out when I post anything other than in landscape format.
The previous ones look the size I intended when you click on them, but they look wrong otherwise.
Ok, a room from Kulturen in landscape format, I hope it turns out better.
I love the old chest, you just can’t find stuff like that around here….too bad.

Fair enough, i don’t think that is an issue any more, see last comment 🙂

I wonder if it is the ratio you are using to crop/set them to? 2:3 might look odd on a 3:4 screen?

Huh? I suck att the shrinking thing. The landscape ones, I reduce to 1000px wide on the longest side and then save for web. It works kind of ok. But I tried making the “portrait” format ones 1000 px high Before but it was way too big and messy, so I tried 800px high, and that really messed them up. So I have been using 900 px high lately, and they look relatively ok when you click on them but as soon they just show in a post they look terrible. ugh.
What do you mean by 2:3 and 3:4? I don´t know what my screen is, it´s 27 inches. Oh my foggy head.

Your 900px high is also 600px wide so that is a ratio of 2:3 (600:900) . A 3:4 would be 675x900px so it could be wordpress showing your previews at 3:4 stretched from 2:3… That’s my best guess anyway 😀

Hmmm… that is interesting. Does that mean that my pics might look different to me than someone with another screen? I mean hopefully better? lol.

Interestingly I took a screen shot on my pc of your preview photos, full screen and guess what, they were at an aspect ratio of 3:4. I think your photos are being stretched horizontally to suit the wordpress preview

Well, that is kind of irritating. Maybe I have to make them smaller then when I post the portrait format ones? Or would they get even more stretched out and fuzzy then? sigh. Thank you so much for checking for me. 🙂

I suggest you go for a 3:4 crop, I use Photoscape a lot, it is very easy to use and woohoo, its free 🙂
